We now have two cases of the Influenza A H1N1 in Malaysia.
Will there be a case in Singapore?
How much do you understand about this virus?
For this week, I would like you to reflect on this topic.

1. What is Influenza A H1N1?Swine influenza (also called H1N1 flu, swine flu, hog flu, and pig flu) is an infection by any one of several types of swine influenza virus. Swine influenza virus (SIV) is any strain of the influenza family of viruses that is endemic in pigs
2. How does it spread?
The new influenza A (H1N1) virus spreads from person-to-person, in the same way that seasonal influenza viruses spread.
3. Which countries in Asia have people with Influenza A H1N1?The A(H1N1) virus outbreak has spread to Australia,usa,mexico,canada and Japan, where a teacher and two students who returned from Canada tested positive for the new flu. Canada, meanwhile, reported its first death from the virus which has spread to 27 countries
4. How do countries try to prevent the spread of this disease?keep away by other people
who had the h1n1 virus.
5. Do you think the taking of temperature is effective in preventing Influenza A H1N1? Why?
6. What other preventive measures are being taken to combat the spread of this disease in Singapore?
